







Job Title: Application Support Engineer
Experience Level: 2+ Years
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Salary: Rs 420,000 – Rs 480,000 LPA + incentives.
Location: Hosur
Key Responsibilities:
• Application Support: Provide ongoing support for software applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues while ensuring minimal disruption to services. Apply ITIL processes (Incident/Problem/Event Management) to log, prioritize, and manage incidents effectively.
• Issue Resolution & Ticketing: Use ticketing tools to log and track issues, identify root causes, determine solutions, and make recommendations to management for long-term improvements.
• Software Development & Maintenance: Assist in the design, development, and deployment of software applications. Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of applications.
• Database Management: Write, optimize, and maintain MS SQL queries and manage RDBMS systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) to store, retrieve, and manipulate data effectively.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and maintain reports for status meetings and incident management, including generating data analysis and insights using MS Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, V-Lookups). Document application issues and resolutions to ensure knowledge transfer.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to communicate issues, resolutions, and performance metrics effectively. Provide recommendations for improvement and ensure smooth operational flow across departments.
• Problem-Solving: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively. Utilize analytical skills to troubleshoot problems and ensure minimal downtime.
Shift Details:
The role requires working in rotational shifts, with four shifts in total:
• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• General Shift: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Required Skills and Experience:
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one .NET, Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, etc.
• Database Management: Strong experience with MS SQL, writing and optimizing queries.
• Application Support & ITIL: Experience providing application support, including knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident/Problem/Event Management) and the ability to manage tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and quickly resolve technical issues.
• Excel Proficiency: Expertise in MS Excel, including advanced functions like Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and creating reports with graphs.
• Ticketing Tools: Familiarity with ticketing tools for logging, tracking, and resolving issues.
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git or similar version control systems.
